Adding to 10
When you are adding lots of numbers together, one addition tip is to try and look for pairs of numbers which add up to 10. There are 5 of these pairs, 1 + 9, 2 + 8, 3 + 7, 4 + 6 and 5 + 5, and each of these can be reversed. If you see a pair, rearrange the problem so the pair is at the beggining, so you can add the 10 first and add the other numbers onto 10, making it much easier
For example:
7 + 6 + 3 is equal to:
7 + 3 + 6, which is equal to:
10 + 6, which is:
16
7 + 3 + 6, which is equal to:
10 + 6, which is:
16
